Technology Should Work For You.
Not Against You.

Friendly, real-world tech coaching for anyone who's ever felt left behind by the digital world.

You don't need to become a tech expert. You just need someone who can explain it clearly, show you at your pace, and make sure it actually sticks. That's exactly what I do.

Jeff Allen

"Jeff explained things I'd been confused about for years — in a single afternoon."

— Marin County resident, age 71

"I finally understand how to use my iPhone. I didn't think that was possible."

— San Francisco, retired educator

"Jeff is the first tech person who didn't make me feel stupid."

— Mill Valley small business owner

Sound Familiar?

  • You know the answer is probably simple — but you can't find it anywhere online without getting even more confused.

  • You've asked a family member for help and felt like a burden.

  • You've Googled it, watched a YouTube video, and still don't get it.

  • You've paid for tech support before and left more confused than when you started.

  • You're not sure if you're "doing it right" and worry about breaking something.

You're not behind. You just haven't had the right person explain it yet.

Jeff Allen speaking

Hi, I'm Jeff Allen.

I'm a San Francisco Bay Area product leader who has spent 20+ years building and simplifying complex technology for a living. Along the way, I've helped my stepfather organize his files, taught my sister how to use Google Docs, and walked more friends than I can count through the basics of their iPhones.

What I've learned is that most technology confusion isn't about intelligence — it's about translation. Nobody sat down with you and explained it in plain, patient, human terms. That's the gap I fill.

I work with people across Marin County and San Francisco — and throughout the greater Bay Area — who are ready to feel genuinely confident with technology, not just patched up until the next problem.

For anyone who wants to feel comfortable with everyday technology

Whether it's finding files on your computer, using email, navigating Google Drive, creating a PDF, or figuring out your iPhone — this is where we start. No question is too small. No topic is off limits.

  • Computer basics: files, folders, storage, and organization
  • iPhone & iPad: texting, email, apps, photos, and settings
  • Google Drive, Google Docs & Google Sheets

AI & Modern Productivity

For curious learners ready to work smarter

Artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT and Claude can save you hours every week — but only if you know how to use them. I'll show you what's actually useful, what to ignore, and how to get results that feel like magic. No technical background required.

  • What AI chatbots are and how they actually work
  • How to ask the right questions to get the right answers (prompt engineering in plain English)
  • Using AI to draft emails, summarize documents, and do research
  • Automating repetitive tasks in your daily life or work
  • Staying safe: what to share and what to keep private

Tech for Professionals

For solo professionals who need their technology to actually work for them

If you're a therapist, realtor, coach, or other independent professional and your tech feels like a patchwork of confusion, I can help you get organized, streamlined, and set up with tools that make your work easier — not harder.

  • Email, calendar, and contact management
  • Cloud storage and file organization
  • Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 setup and best practices
